"Upcoming year 2025 will be celebrated as the Year of Industry": MP CM Mohan Yadav

CM Yadav also gave instructions to prepare an integrated plan for the development of industries and also discussed the proposed industrial policy in the meeting.

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) [India], June 24 (ANI): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav reviewed the Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion Department activities in Mantralaya on Monday and said that the upcoming year 2025 would be celebrated as the Year of Industry.
CM Yadav also gave instructions to prepare an integrated plan for the development of industries and also discussed the proposed industrial policy in the meeting.
"Various ministries of the Central Government have received approvals for the establishment of different industrial units in Madhya Pradesh. Work has to be done expeditiously for the implementation of these projects. The proposed investment of a total of Rs 35,000 crore in mega projects in Pithampur, Ratlam will employ over one lakh people," CM Yadav said.
The development of the Indore-Pithampur Economic Corridor is proposed in an area of 3200 acres worth Rs 2125 crore and it will employ about one lakh people. Indore's Multimodal Logistics Park project worth Rs 20,000 crores will also employ over 5,000 people, the CM said, elaborating that the Government of India has approved an amount of Rs 100 crore for the Medical Device Park in the Vikrampuri Industrial Area of Ujjain.
"Emphasis is being laid on setting up employment-oriented industries in the state. The coming year 2025 will be celebrated as the Year of Industry. Investors Summit is also proposed in January 2025. Regional industrial summits will be held at various places in the state," he added.
CM Yadav also instructed the officials in the meeting to prepare an integrated plan for the development of industries. Regional Industrial Conclaves should be organised at various places in the state. Along with this, meetings should be organised with industrialists in major cities of India for new industrial investment in the state.
A large number of youth go out of the state for employment in the IT sector, efforts should be made to ensure that they get work in the state itself. More attention should be given to the establishment of employment-oriented industries in the state, the CM said, adding that start systematic preparations for the Investors Summit in January 2025.
