Hapur (Uttar Pradesh) [India], Nov 2 (ANI): The murder mystery surrounding the death of a 23-year-old school teacher and her three other family members has been solved by the Uttar Pradesh Police after two years of the incident.
According to police, prime accused Abhishek Pal, a resident of Wazirabad village along with a local goon named Mannu had killed all the four members of the family by strangulating them using a clutch wire.
During the interrogation, the accused disclosed that he committed the crime as he was unable to repay a loan that his friend, Ritesh Katiyar had taken from Ved Prakash, father of the school teacher, Naina. Abhishek was the guarantor for the loan.
While the main accused has been arrested, his accomplice, Mannu died in a road accident recently.
Naina's father had been pressing Abhishek and Ritesh for the repayment of the loan.
On July 15, 2016, Abhishek, who used to teach driving to Naina's brother, Shubham, called Ved to an unknown location on the pretext of changing tyre of Shubham's car.
When Ved went there, the accused made him sit in the front seat while Mannu strangulated him. They then put his body in the trunk of the car.
The accused were suspicious that Shubham had seen them committing the crime thus they subsequently killed Shubham as well. They later murdered Naina and her mother Sadhana in a similar fashion.
On July 16, 2016, Abhishek along with Mannu shifted all the bodies to a closed public school in Wazirabad.
Thereafter, on the intervening night of July 16 and 17, 2016 accused took all the bodies in a car and dumped them in Upper Ganga Canal.
On July 17, 2016, Naina's body was found in a canal near Hapur in Uttar Pradesh after it was being spotted by locals.
The other three bodies have not yet been found yet.
Earlier, the cops had suspected the involvement of Naina's family members in her murder as her parents and brother were missing. Initially, a case of 'Honour Killing' was registered against the family members of the deceased and it was believed that the Naina's father, mother and brother have killed her. (ANI)
