Mohsin Raza

Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], Aug 22 (ANI): Uttar Pradesh Cabinet Minister Mohsin Raza on Wednesday protested against the alleged action by Madrasa manager and cleric of not allowing children to recite National Anthem on Independence Day.
Terming the whole incident as "anti-national", Raza told ANI that anyone found involved in such activities would not be spared.
"Children wanted to sing the National Anthem on Independence Day, but the Maulana and Madrasa manager stopped them. It's an anti-national activity and anyone involved in anti-national activities would not be spared," the Uttar Pradesh Minister said.
This remark by Raza came after the Uttar Pradesh government has suspended the accreditation of the Madrasa in Maharajganj, where the Maulana and Madrasa manager had stopped children from singing the national anthem during the Independence Day celebration.
The matter came to light after a teacher at the Madrassa, under Madrassa Modernisation Scheme, protested against the entire incident and filmed a video of the matter and posted it on social media site.
Reportedly, soon after the incident, a case of sedition was registered against a Madrasa manager and Maulana for allegedly not allowing students to sing the National Anthem after unfurling the Indian flag during Independence Day celebrations in Maharajganj. (ANI)
