UP CM Yogi announces Rs 2 lakh ex-gratia for deceased's kin and Rs 50,000 for injured in Hardoi road mishap

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday announced ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh for the next of kin of each deceased and Rs 50,000 for the injured in the mishap in Uttar Pradesh's Hardoi and expressed grief over the same.

New Delhi [India], November 6 (ANI): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday announced ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh for the next of kin of each deceased and Rs 50,000 for the injured in the mishap in Uttar Pradesh's Hardoi and expressed grief over the same.
"Expressing his condolences to the bereaved families, Maharaj Ji has directed the District Administration, Hardoi to immediately provide financial assistance of Rs 2 lakh each to the families of each deceased and Rs 50,000 to the seriously injured," Yogi Adityanath Office posted on X in Hindi.
"The loss of life in a road">road accident in the Hardoi district is extremely sad and heartbreaking. My condolences are with the bereaved family. District administration officials have been instructed to carry out relief operations expeditiously and provide proper treatment to the injured. I pray to Lord Shri Ram to give a place to the departed souls in his feet and provide speedy recovery to the injured," the Chief Minister posted on X.
Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also announced an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh from the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund (PMNRF) for the next of kin of each deceased and Rs 50,000 for the injured.
"The road">road accident in Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh is heart-wrenching. Many families have lost their loved ones in this. I pray to God to give them the strength to bear this immense sorrow. Along with this, I wish for the speedy recovery of all the injured. Under the supervision of the state government, the local administration is engaged in helping the victims in every possible way," the PMO posted on X.
As many as ten people including six women died and four got injured in a collision between an auto and a truck in Uttar Pradesh's Hardoi on Wednesday, said police.
All the injured were hospitalised and are now out of danger, said police.
Neeraj Kumar Jadaun, Superintendent of Police, Hardoi said, "10 people including 6 women died in a collision between an auto and a truck. 4 people got injured. They are out of danger, but they are being sent to the district hospital for better treatment..."
