UP: Chief Minister Yogi inaugurates upgraded Forensic Science Lab in Gorakhpur

While addressing the gathering, CM Yogi said that the modern FSL lab will act as a game-changer and the state government is aiming to establish one such lab in each mandal in the state.

Gorakhpur (Uttar Pradesh) [India], November 18 (ANI): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday inaugurated the newly upgraded Regional Forensic Science Laboratory in Gorakhpur.
While addressing the gathering, CM Yogi said that the modern FSL lab will act as a game-changer and the state government is aiming to establish one such lab in each mandal in the state.
"This modern lab will be a game-changer...The state government aims to establish a modern FSL lab in each mandal in the state," he stated.
He elaborated that the lab is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, which will help speed up the investigation. It has an advanced DNA centre, a DNA lab, AI, drone, and robotic labs.
"We have established a modern State Forensic Institute in Lucknow. This upgraded forensic lab will have all the facilities needed to speed up investigations. The State Forensic Institute houses an advanced DNA centre, a world-class DNA lab, AI, drone, and robotic labs. The state govt aims to establish a modern FSL lab in each mandal..." CM Yogi added.
Furthermore, he said that the state government has allocated two mobile forensic lab vans each in 75 districts of the state. He emphasised that these labs will not allow any criminal to escape for years due to the lack of evidence against him; rather, they will provide credible evidence within hours of investigation.
"We have allocated two mobile lab vans each in all the 75 districts...They will collect samples from crime scenes...Now the victims won't have to wait for years to receive justice because there is no evidence against he accused...Now, the evidence will be presented within a few hours of the criminal investigation...The lab is also equipped with the DNA identification technology...No criminal will escape the punishment... "
"State Forensic Institute in Lucknow will also educate youngsters to enable job opportunities in the field of forensic science...We have added various courses in the lab, including certificate courses, diploma courses, and degree courses...," CM Yogi Adityanath said.
These advanced labs are incorporated in order to discover credible evidence against the criminals, rapists, terrorists, murderers, etc. and provide quick justice to the victims and their families, CM Yogi said. (ANI)
