UP: 7 PPS officers given compulsory retirement for not performing duty efficiently

Former Andhra Pradesh Minister Gudivada Amarnath on Thursday said that the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) has filed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) challenging the land policy of the state government, alleging that large extents of valuable public land are being allotted to a few real estate companies at very low prices.

"Most of the hotels are closed. Even in the few that are open, we are not getting proper food. This situation is affecting families as well. Therefore, we request the Central Government to intervene in this matter and take strong action to ensure the supply of LPG gas," Muraleedharan told reporters in Thiruvananthapuram.

In his statement in the Lok Sabha, Puri said the government has taken multiple measures to safeguard the country's energy security and ensure the uninterrupted availability of petroleum products, cooking gas, and natural gas.

In a post on X, Stalin stated that he had written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the relevant Union Ministers regarding the issue. He added that the state government held a consultation meeting yesterday under the leadership of R Sakkarapani to discuss strategies for addressing the gas shortage.

Speaking to reporters, Dubey said that Parliament is not a "canteen" and questioned the conduct during a protest meant to highlight issues faced by the public. The District Magistrate instructed that, in accordance with the guidelines of the Government of India, first priority in LPG distribution should be given to domestic consumers so that the general public does not face any inconvenience. He also directed that home delivery of domestic LPG cylinders should be ensured through an OTP-based system

In a letter addressed to the Minister, AIMSA expressed "serious concern" regarding the NMC notice which requires FMGs to undergo compulsory onsite compensation for the online education undertaken during the pandemic period.
