UP: 3 people involved in heist arrested after encounter at Greater Noida, hunt on to nab 4th accused

Three people involved in a heist were arrested while one person managed to escape after a brief encounter conducted by the Greater Noida police on Sunday night under BETA 2 police station at Greater Noida.

Greater Noida (Uttar Pradesh) [India], June 3 (ANI): Three people involved in a heist were arrested while one person managed to escape after a brief encounter conducted by the Greater Noida police on Sunday night under BETA 2 police station at Greater Noida.
An amount of Rs 9 lakh was recovered by the Greater Noida police.
The arrested person has been identified as Santosh, Nitesh, Chandan and the fourth friend Akash has managed to escape.
DCP Greater Noida Saad Mian Khan said, "On May 31, four people conducted a robbery at Side 4 of Greater Noida in which cash was looted by cash collection agent and his friends. They also fired at the spot and ran away from the spot. Under the guidance of Joint Police Commissioner, a team was formed involving Beta 2 team, SWAT and ECO tech 1 team. An encounter was conducted on Sunday night. This heist was planned by four friends."
He said that the entire cash amount of Rs 9 lakh was recovered and the hunt is on to nab the fourth accused.
"The robbery was planned by collection agent Santosh and his three friends. Santosh along with Nitesh and Chandan have been arrested and Akash has managed to escape. They were reeling under debt and Santosh had issues with his boss so Santosh planned to loot his boss. The recovery has been 100 per cent. The fourth person has two cases registered against him and he will be caught soon," he further said.
He further added that Santosh wanted to take revenge from his boss and repay his debts so he planned the heist.
He further said, "Santosh had recently taken a VISA card for which he had to pay EMI, he has also taken a phone for which he has to pay EMI and taken a bike also for which he has to pay EMI. There was too much debt on him so he planned the heist to pay his debts and take revenge from his boss." (ANI)
