New Delhi [India], October 20 (ANI): In line with the vision outlined in the recent budget announcement to develop "eShram" as a one-stop solution for unorganised labour to access various social sector schemes, Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya will launch the 'eShram-One Stop Solution' on October 21.
According to the Ministry of Labour and Employment, the eShram-One Stop Solution will serve as a mediator, ensuring that unorganised workers have easy access to a range of government schemes and programmes. This initiative aims to raise awareness among unorganised workers about the schemes designed for their benefit.
The Ministry stated, "The eShram-One Stop Solution seeks to effectively integrate information about beneficiaries of all social security and welfare schemes meant for unorganised workers through a single platform. It will facilitate the identification and implementation of social security and welfare schemes for unorganised workers and help ensure the saturation of these schemes in a swift and efficient manner. To date, 12 schemes from various central ministries and departments have already been integrated and mapped with eShram."
Since its launch on August 26, 2021, eShram has achieved significant milestones, with over 30 crore unorganised workers enrolled, highlighting its widespread appeal among the unorganised workforce. This accomplishment underscores the social impact of the initiative and the Government's commitment to supporting the nation's unorganised workers. (ANI)
