Bhubaneswar (Odisha) [India], September 24 (ANI): Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Sunday was seen interacting with a group of students onboard the Vande Bharat Express from Bhubaneswar to Angul.
Odisha's second Vande Bharat Express was among the nine new Vande Bharat Express trains that was flagged off virtually by Prime Minister Narendra Modi today.
"This is the way PM Modi works, with speed, on a big scale and with big ambition and new aspiration. I am so happy today, the Vande Bharat Express is going through my village,” Pradhan said
“This (Vande Bharat) will connect Odisha’s cultural capital to Industrial cities of the state and will increase job opportunities for the youths of Odisha. It will provide transport facilities to people, and this train is dedicated to common people," the Union Minister said.
Meanwhile, Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan and Union Minister L Murugan also travelled by the Thirunelveli-Chennai Vande Bharat Express train.
"I am very happy to travel on the Vande Bharat train, I thank our PM Modi for making this possible. Today, people were very happy, they praised the facilities on the train...this is a great experience", said Soundararajan while interacting with mediapersons.
She also shared her happiness over South Tamil Nadu getting a Vande Bharat Express train.
Soundarajan said that earlier during her interaction with Rail Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw she had requested superfast trains for South Tamil Nadu following the limited number of trains in the region.
"When I met the Railway Minister in Hyderabad, I told him that South Tamil Nadu people are struggling for transportation without trains and buses and fewer flights. So I asked him for Vande Bharat and the superfast trains for South Tamil Nadu. He replied in a positive manner. I am very happy that South Tamil Nadu is getting the Vande Bharat train today," said Soundarajan who is also the Lt Governor of Puducherry. (ANI)
