"Union Government continuously Neglecting Tamil Nadu": Deputy CM Udhayanidhi Stalin's serious allegations against centre

Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin participated in the foundation stone laying ceremony for the construction of a new Jallikattu stadium worth Rs 3 crore in Suriyur village of Trichy. While speaking to the media after the event, Stalin alleged the union government for continously neglecting Tamil Nadu and raised the issue of improper funds being allocated by the Central government for the state.

Chennai (Tamil Nadu) [India], February 19 (ANI): Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin participated in the foundation stone laying ceremony for the construction of a new Jallikattu stadium worth Rs 3 crore in Suriyur village of Trichy. While speaking to the media after the event, Stalin accused the union government for continuously neglecting Tamil Nadu and raised the issue of improper funds being allocated by the Central government for the state.
Tamil Nadu Deputy CM Udhyanidhi Stalin said, "A meeting of the DMK Youth Wing organisers and deputy Organisers will be held tomorrow, and we will discuss this issue in particular. No proper funds are allocated to Tamil Nadu from the union Government. The Union Government is continuously Neglecting Tamil Nadu."
Stalin also participated in the Department of Youth Welfare and Sports Development Program in Chennai. While addressing the event, the Tamil Nadu Deputy CM stated that the state sportspersons have done very well in the 38th National Games held in Uttarakhand and congratulated all the authorities involved in the process for their hard work. He added that Tamil Nadu has setup a record of providing highest incentives to sportspersons.
"At the 38th National Games, which were held in the state of Uttarakhand, our 157 Tamil Nadu Sportsmen and Sportswomen participated. Our TN sportsman Rohit Benedict brought six medals, including gold in Swimming, and Vidya Ramraj(hurdles) brought a gold medal to the state", he said.
"I congratulate each and every player who has won and am happy to see our players who have brought more medals. Like how our Sports players set a record in the field of Sports, even Tamil Nadu Government have set a record in providing high incentives to Sports players...", Stalin added.
Stalin further accused the Union government of not allocating funds in the Union Budget for Tamil Nadu. He added that not only the sports sector, Tamil Nadu has not been considered in any sector and funds for rain and floods have also not been provided.
"Tamil Nadu sportspersons have performed so well in the 38th National Games and scored 6th place in India. I congratulate the Tamil Nadu Sports Development Authority officials and Sports players who have worked so hard to make this happen. The central government has not allocated any funds for Tamil Nadu," he said.
"Not only for the sports sector, they didn't even consider Tamil Nadu in the Union budget 2025. They have not provided funds for rains and floods, either. Our state has been continuously neglected by the Union Government...", he added. (ANI)
