Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan visits Jagannath temple along with Minister of Law Prithviraj Harichandran

Puri (Odisha) [India], August 25 (ANI): The Union Education Minister, Dharmendra Pradhan, along with the Minister of Law, Works and Excise, Prithviraj Harichandran, offered prayers at the Lord Jagannath temple in Puri on Sunday.
The Education Minister said that he was very fortunate he got to offer prayers at the Jagannath temple today and further added that on the occasion of his birthday on September 17, Prime Minister Narendra Modi would come to Odisha.
Speaking to ANI, Pradhan said, "I am very fortunate that I got the chance to offer prayers at the Jagannath temple today. The Prime Minister would be coming to Odisha on his birthday on September 17. We have invited him to inaugurate the Subhadra Yojana, the SOP of which the government had just presented to the people. "

Talking about the scheme, he said that a woman under the scheme would get a total of Rs 50,000 in five years and more than 1 crore women would benefit.
"Women under this scheme would get a total of Rs 50,000 for five years under this scheme and more than one crore women would benefit. They are all very happy and excited," Pradhan added.
Additionally, the Navy Day celebrations are likely to be hosted at the Lord Jagannath temple on December 4.
A preliminary survey has been conducted with Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh Tripathi present on ground and five warships anchored off the coast of Puri on August 11.
A number of senior officers, including Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh K Tripathy, visited Puri to evaluate the beach conditions and discuss the logistics with the district administration.
Navy officials had carried out a thorough survey of Puri Beach and plan to conduct a Navy drill operation there. From air shows to commando operations, the naval forces will demonstrate a range of adventurous military manoeuvres. (ANI)
