Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India], April 23 (ANI): Karnataka BJP MP Tejasvi Surya on Wednesday met the wife and son of Manjunath one of those killed in the Pahalgam terror attack and assured them of full support during this unimaginably difficult time.
Surya, who visited Srinagar and met Pallavi and her son, the survivors of the attack, stated that coordinated efforts were underway with the Union Ministry of Home Affairs and the Karnataka government to provide full assistance to the victims.
Taking on X, Surya wrote, "Met Ms. Pallavi and her son in Srinagar today with MLA Sunil Sharma and assured them of all necessary support during this unimaginably difficult time. Arrangements have been made for the family's return to Bengaluru today."

"Amit Shah Ji, Union Home Minister, is in Srinagar and is also in touch with the families. Alongside Karnataka Minister Santosh S Lad, we will remain with the family every step of the way -- until the mortal remains are brought back with dignity, and the family safely returns to Bengaluru and then to their hometown in Shivamogga. We're standing by them completely -- until the very last person is taken care of," the post added on X.
"With the coordination of the Karnataka government, Home Ministry and Union Government, we are working towards taking back the Karnataka people who are the victims of the attack," he told media reporters.
The family of Manjunath, a victim of the Pahalgam terror attack, is waiting for his body to return to Shivamogga, Karnataka. His brother-in-law, Pradeep, expressed the family's grief, stating that yesterday was the worst day for them, as his sister and her son are fine, but her husband has died. They are expecting the body to arrive by tomorrow morning.
Meanwhile, as the nation comes to terms with the devastating loss during the terror attack at Pahalgam on Tuesday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah arrived at the Baisaran meadow, the site of the attack that claimed the lives of innocent tourists, sending shockwaves across the nation.
The Union Home Minister arrived at the terror site by helicopter, descending onto the meadow now bearing the scars of violence.
The security in the region had been heightened as army personnel arrived at the meadow in Pahalgam.
This has been one of the biggest terror attacks after the abrogation of Article 370 in 2019. The government, however, has yet to officially confirm the number of casualties in the terror attack in Pahalgam. (ANI)
