"Unfortunate": Union Minister Jual Oram condemns Charanjit Singh Channi's statement questioning surgical strikes

New Delhi [India], May 3 (ANI): Union Minister of Tribal Affairs Jual Oram on Saturday condemned Congress leader Charanjit Singh Channi's statement questioning the surgical strikes by the Indian Army in the Pakistani territory after the Uri.
Speaking with ANI, Jual Oram said, "This is an unfortunate statement...and it is a kind of statement against the country...I condemn it."
Earlier Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini slammed Congress MP Charanjit Singh Channi and said that he is speaking "someone else's language" rather than expressing his thoughts. He further said that his statement is very "unfortunate" and questioned why he couldn't see such a "big attack".
Yeh kahi aur ki bhasha bol rahe hai, apni bhasha nahi bol rahe" ("He is speaking someonelse's language, not his own"). This is unfortunate. Can't he see such a big attack? He could not even see the Uri attack?", CM Saini said while participating in the 'Walk for Drug-Free Chandigarh' event.
On Friday, casting doubts over the surgical strike, the former Punjab CM Channi said that he had always demanded proof of it.
"Till date, I could not find where the (surgical) strike took place, where men were killed at that time, and where this happened in Pakistan. Will we not find out if a bomb is dropped in our country? They say that they did a surgical strike in Pakistan. Nothing had happened. Nowhere was a surgical strike seen. Nobody came to know...I have always demanded (proof)," Channi said at a press conference.
Responding to Channi's remarks, Delhi Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa said that the Congress leader's comments reflect the "dirty mentality of the Gandhi family".
"Congress has again raised questions on the Indian Air Force. Former Punjab CM Charanjit Singh Channi has once again said that he does not believe in the surgical strike, and he wants proof of the surgical strike. What kind of mentality is this of the Congress party, the Gandhi family, Rahul Gandhi, that they keep questioning the army, the Indian Air Force?" Sirsa said. (ANI)
