Patna (West Bengal) [India], July 26 (ANI): The newly appointed Bihar BJP President, Dilip Jaiswal on Friday said that the next assembly elections in Bihar will be fought under the leadership of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and the NDA will form the government.
Speaking to ANI, the Bihar BJP President said that Mahagathbandhan would not be able to stand before the NDA in the Bihar Assembly elections, which are slated to be held in 2025.
"About the Assembly elections, I can tell you that Mahagathbandhan will not be able to stand before the NDA. In the leadership of Nitish Kumar, we will form a majority government in 2025. In Lok Sabha elections, we lost only 3-4 seats but not due to political factors," he said.
The Bihar BJP chief said that the people of the state know the true colour of the Rashtriya Janata Dal.
"The public knows the face and character of RJD. They either love Yadavs or Muslims. If they had loved Yadav, they would have brought more intelligent people than Tejashwi Yadav. In the upcoming elections, the NDA will fight the elections under the leadership of Nitish Kumar," he added.
He further thanked the party leadership for appointing him as Bihar BJP chief.
"I want to thank party leadership for appointing me as Bihar BJP chief. The leaders, including the late Sushil Modi, Sanjay Jaiswal, Samrat Choudhary and Nityanand Rai, have taken the party to the next level," Dilip Jaiswal told ANI.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday appointed party leader Dilip Jaiswal as Bihar party unit president, replacing Samrat Chaudhary, who is Bihar Deputy Chief Minister.
"Bharatiya Janata Party National President JP Nadda has appointed Dilip Jaiswal, Member, Legislative Council, as President of Bharatiya Janata Party Bihar State," the BJP posted on X.
Jaiswal, who is currently the Revenue Land Reforms Minister in Bihar, is originally from Khagaria district, Bihar.
Meanwhile, the BJP has also announced new state in-charges. Harish Dwivedi has been made in charge of Assam, Atul Garg of Chandigarh, Arvind Menon of Lakshadweep, Radha Mohan Das Agarwal of Rajasthan, Arvind Menon of Tamil Nadu and Rajdeep Roy of Tripura.
The assembly elections in Bihar are likely to be held in October-November 2025. (ANI)
