Speaking about Article 105 of the Constitution, which guarantees freedom of speech in Parliament, the Speaker said that while freedom of speech is a fundamental right, it is regulated by the rules and traditions of the House.

"Telangana Speaker was under immense pressure to take this decision. Rahul Gandhi is a joke of a leader. On one hand, he flaunts the constitution of India and continues to portray himself as the saviour of the constitution of India, and he also talks about defections and how automatic disqualification should be done," he told the media.

K Kavitha, while speaking to ANI, said, "The Congress Party, led by Revanth Reddy, claims to support the Constitution, yet the Congress government here is acting entirely against it. In Khammam city, 750 people were violently evicted in a single day, and bulldozers were used to tear down their homes.

"We shall bring an impeachment motion against the Chief Election Commissioner as per Article 324 of the Constitution. We have many, many complaints about him," Roy said.

Owaisi argued that Pal, appointed by the Speaker, can't preside over the no-confidence motion debate, citing Articles 95 and 96 of the Constitution. He demanded the House's stand be taken, stating Rule 10 can't override constitutional provisions, and accuses the government of creating a "constitutional mess."

"When you look at Constitution, and the rules of the house, no one has challenged any decision of the Speaker. That day I was upset for the fact that the Opposition MP said that 'I do not need permission from anyone to speak in Parliament', this is on record. 'This is my right to speak in Parliament', our Leader of Opposition said this. So I was thinking, there are many senior members in Congress, why did they not explain that in this House, PM, minister, LoP can be present but one needs permission from speaker to speak," Rijiju said in the House.

"What has been seen in these last 15 years is that there is no law and order here. No industry has come, and the Rohingyas and Muslims from Bangladesh have just come here and made them voters here... These people never follow the Constitution. These people have sent their people to show the black flag there," Saha told ANI.

The Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) examining the Constitution (One Hundred and Twenty-Ninth Amendment) Bill, 2024, met on Monday at the Parliament House Annexe (PHA) in New Delhi.

BJP MP Sujeet Kumar, while speaking to ANI, said, "Article 94 of the Constitution gives members the right to move a motion to remove the Speaker. But the question is, why has the opposition brought this motion at this time? Is it because the Speaker has done something wrong?

Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Arvind Sawant has asserted that Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla cannot rise above the Constitution. Discussing the opposition's move to bring a no-confidence motion against him, Sawant stated that the motion of no-confidence is directed against the alleged misuse of power by the Speaker.
