U'khand: Schools, Anganwadis in Chamoli, Dehradun, Uttarkashi to be closed tomorrow

Chamoli (Uttarakhand) [India], Dec 12 (ANI): All government and private schools, along with Anganwadi Centres in the Chamoli and Dehradun districts of Uttarakhand will remain closed on Friday following heavy snowfall in the region.

Chamoli (Uttarakhand) [India], Dec 12 (ANI): All government and private schools, along with Anganwadi Centres in the Chamoli and Dehradun districts of Uttarakhand will remain closed on Friday following heavy snowfall in the region.
The District Magistrates of both districts issued notices on Thursday to close the institutions, following a snowfall alert issued by the Meteorological Department in the district.
Earlier today, Uttarkashi District Magistrate Ashish Chauhan also issued a notice stating that all government schools, private schools, and Anganwadi Centres will remain closed on Friday due to heavy snowfall in the area.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), thunderstorm and hailstorm, accompanied with lightning, are likely to take place at isolated places in Uttarakhand, Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi on December 12 and 13. (ANI)
