Tripura: MP Biplab Kumar Deb hoists national flag at Radhamohanpur Village Council on Independence Day

West Tripura (Tripura) [India], August 15 (ANI): Lok Sabha MP from Tripura West, Biplab Kumar Deb participated in the 78th Independence Day celebrations and hoisted the national flag at Katung Para, Radhamohanpur Village Council in the West Tripura district on Thursday.
The event witnessed participation from residents and district officials. MP Deb greeted and extended wishes to the citizens on the occasion.
Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha hoisted the national flag at his residence in Agartala Tripura on Thursday. CM Saha remembered the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of the country.
"We celebrated the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign in the state. We remembered and honoured all those who sacrificed their lives for the freedom and independence of the country," the Chief Minister said while speaking on occasion. The CM also congratulated the Police and Home Guard personnel from Tripura, who received the President's Medal for Meritorious Service.
During the Independence Day celebrations, a cultural program was also conducted at the Assam Rifles ground, Agartala. The colourful cultural event organized by the School Education department reflected the true spirit of patriotism. The event featured a dance drama promoting drug-free Tripura, mesmerizing dance performances showcasing the state's rich Janajati culture and a wonderful yoga session. (ANI)
