Tripura govt to announce 10,000 job opportunities after panchayat polls

In a significant move aimed at boosting employment, the Tripura government has announced plans to release over 10,000 job opportunities following the completion of the Panchayat elections.

Tripura (Agartala) [India], July 7 (ANI): In a significant move aimed at boosting employment, the Tripura government has announced plans to release over 10,000 job opportunities following the completion of the Panchayat elections.
This decision was made by Tripura's Chief Minister, Prof Manik Saha, who has consistently demonstrated his commitment to the state's development and the welfare of its youth.
Since assuming office, Chief Minister Saha has spearheaded numerous initiatives and conducted a series of meetings focused on increasing job availability.
Data from 2018 to 2024 reveals that a total of 13,661 job offers were issued during this period. Under Group A, in 2018-19, around 99 people received job offers, in 2019-20, four people, in 2020-21, around 40, in 2021-22, the number rose to 223, 147 people received jobs in 2022-23, and in 2023-24, the number was 28.
Under Group B, in 2018-19, one person received a job offer, in 2019-20, three people, in 2020-21, around four, in 2021-22, the number was 16, 77 people received jobs in 2022-23, and in 2023-24, the number was seven.
Under Group C, in 2018-19, around 986 people received job offers, in 2019-20, 965 people, in 2020-21, around 629, in 2021-22, the number was 2,699, 5,044 people received jobs in 2022-23, and in 2023-24, the number was 1,966.
Under Group D, in 2018-19, around 100 people received job offers, in 2019-20, 174 people, in 2020-21, around 121, in 2021-22, the number was 134, while 116 people received jobs in 2022-23, and in 2023-24, the number was 78.
Chief Minister Saha has instructed officials to expedite the release of pending job offers.
Following the Panchayat polls, approximately 10,000 job offers, including positions in the Tripura Police, Junior Recruitment Board Tripura (JRBT), and as Special Executives, will be released.
This move is expected to significantly reduce unemployment and contribute to the overall development of Tripura. (ANI)
