Tripura CM Manik Saha joins 55th NSS Day celebration 2023, advocates for  'Nasha Mukt Tripura

Chief Minister Manik Saha extended a heartfelt appeal to people of all demographics, and said, "I appeal to all classes of people to come forward and contribute towards making Tripura a healthy state, free from addiction. Let us all join hands in this noble mission to build a brighter and addiction-free future for our beloved state."

Agartala (Tripura) [India], September 24 (ANI): Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on Sunday participated in the occasion of the 55th National Service Scheme (NSS) Day celebration in 2023, which also featured a seminar focusing on the goal of a "Nasha Mukt Tripura".
The event was organized by the Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha and witnessed the participation of hundreds of dedicated NSS volunteers, turning it into a resounding success.
Notable dignitaries including N C Sharma, Director of Higher Education; Brigadier JP Tiwari, Director of Sainik Welfare; PK Chakraborty, Secretary of Youth Affairs and Sports; and Tinku Roy, the State's Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports.
Chief Minister Manik Saha made a commitment towards the welfare of the armed forces.
He extended a generous contribution of Rs1.5 lakhs to Brigadier JP Tiwari, Director of Sainik Welfare, in support of the well-being of soldiers and their families. Additionally, a sum of Rs 51,729 was donated to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund through NSS.
During his address, Chief Minister Manik Saha commended the relentless efforts of NSS volunteers and encouraged them to persist in their noble endeavours. He expressed gratitude for their voluntary services and their unwavering enthusiasm to contribute to the nation's betterment.
Saha urged the youth to become actively involved in the NSS, describing it as a pivotal platform that could shape their lives, fostering qualities that would make them valuable and productive citizens of the future.
Saha, deeply concerned about the rising issue of addiction among the youth, called upon both the youth and responsible citizens to unite with the government's mission to make Tripura addiction-free.
He emphasized that the government alone could not combat the addiction crisis, stressing the need for citizens from all walks of life to play a crucial role in achieving the vision of a "Nasha Mukt Tripura" - a Tripura free from addiction.
