Agartala (Tripura) [India], August 9 (ANI): Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha chaired a review meeting to discuss the preparations for the upcoming Har Ghar Tiranga event on Friday.
Saha had a meeting through video conference with all MLAs, ministers, MDCs and chairpersons of PSUs for the preparation.
He was accompanied by the Secretary of Information and Cultural Department, Pradeep Kumar Chakraborty, for the meeting.
During the video conference, Saha said that the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' programme was undertaken to honour those who made supreme sacrifices in protecting our country.
He said that the event will begin on August 11 and continue until August 14.
"We have received instructions from the Centre following the Har Ghar Tiranga programme. The event will start from August 11 to 14, beginning with a Tiranga Yatra led by ministers and MLAs, which has already commenced in our state," he said.
He further added that the Tripura Police, NSS, students, NCC, cultural groups, and disaster management teams would participate in the event and on August 14, they would observe Vibhajan Vibhishika Smriti Diwas from the grass-roots level.
"We have had a series of meetings with the Centre as well as the state government. Tripura Police, NSS, students, NCC, cultural groups, and disaster management teams will all participate in this event. From August 12 to 14, the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan will be conducted, and everyone should actively participate in their respective areas. On August 14, we will observe Vibhajan Vibhishika Smriti Diwas, starting from the grass root level. On August 15, we will hoist our national flag at our homes, upload the picture on social media, and also on harghartiranga.com," he said. (ANI)
