Tripura celebrates 118th birth anniversary of musical maestro Sachin Dev Burman

Tripura celebrated the 118th birth anniversary of the legendary music composer Sachin Dev Burman, fondly known as Sachin Da, with great enthusiasm.

Agartala (Tripura) [India] Ocrober 1 (ANI): Tripura celebrated the 118th birth anniversary of the legendary music composer Sachin Dev Burman, fondly known as Sachin Da, with great enthusiasm.
Born in Tripura's royal family, Sachin Dev Burman is regarded as one of the most influential figures in Indian music, known for his melodious compositions that shaped the golden era of Bollywood music.
Various cultural programs were organised across the state to honour his contribution to Indian cinema and music. Tributes poured in from musicians, political leaders, and fans alike, remembering his timeless songs that continue to resonate with music lovers across generations. His music, a blend of classical Indian ragas and folk tunes, remains an inspiration for many artists.
The celebrations in Agartala included performances of some of his iconic compositions and a discussion on his legacy. Several prominent personalities from the music and film industry participated, sharing anecdotes about Sachin Dev Burman's impact on Indian music.
The Chief Minister of Tripura Manik Saha also paid homage to the musical maestro, stating that Sachin Dev Burman's legacy is a source of immense pride for the state, and his work continues to inspire not only musicians but all creative minds across the country.
