The event was aimed to educate the local populace, particularly youth, about the detrimental effects of drug abuse and the importance of living a drug-free life, an official release stated.
The awareness drive featured an interactive lecture session, where the detrimental effects of drug addiction, its social and financial implications and the support systems available for rehabilitation were discussed. A total of 157 people participated in the event, the release stated.
The event concluded with an interactive session, where participants shared their experiences and pledged support for the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.
