Train with migrant workers from Surat expected to reach Bihar today

Surat (Gujarat) [India], May 26 (ANI): Amid the ongoing COVID-19 lockdown, the train carrying migrant workers from Surat is expected to reach Bihar today.

Surat (Gujarat) [India], May 26 (ANI): Amid the ongoing COVID-19 lockdown, the train carrying migrant workers from Surat is expected to reach Bihar today.
Workers from Surat are returning after the lockdown norms were relaxed, allowing train operations.
About 28 trains have departed from Surat and various people and trusts have come up in helping the government by organising and funding these trains. They are also providing them with food packets, water bottles, masks and other necessities.
"Our organisation has distributed food packets and ration. We have helped transport 40,000 people. This is the 28th train which will depart from here. We have also distributed masks among the people," said Ajay Chaudhary, President, Bihar Jharkhand Samaj Trust.
"I'm going to Bhagalpur. We have been provided with masks for our safety," said Rehmati Begam, passenger. (ANI)
