"Totally false allegations on Election Commission...": Sudhanshu Trivedi slams Rahul Gandhi for "vote chori" claims

He accused Gandhi of selective targeting, saying, "Why has Rahul Gandhi become so selective about only one constituency? He is only showing those constituencies in the Bangalore Central seat, where the BJP was leading. Why did he not talk about the Chamrajpet and Shivajinagar constituencies, where Congress received more than 60 per cent of the votes?"

New Delhi [India], August 10 (ANI): BJP National Spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi on Sunday slammed Congress MP Rahul Gandhi for trying to put forth his "frustration of losing power" by making "totally false" allegations against the Election Commission.
On August 7, Rahul Gandhi held a press conference, where he claimed that the 2024 Lok Sabha elections were "choreographed" by the EC to benefit the BJP, which he said appeared "immune to anti-incumbency." Presenting Congress's research on voting in the Mahadevapura Assembly in Karnataka, Rahul Gandhi alleged "vote chori" (vote theft) of 1,00,250 votes."
Addressing a press conference in the national capital, the Trivedi said, "A perpetual youth of Indian politics who is consistently demeaning and degrading all the constitutional institutions, a new avatar of Goebbels, is now trying to put forth his frustration of losing power by making unnecessary, uncalled for and totally false allegations on the Election Commission..."
The BJP's Rajya Sabha MP also accused the INDIA bloc and the Congressof colluding with foreign anti-national forces.
Trivedi claimed that there is evidence of Rahul Gandhi meeting with anti-national NGOs and anti-India leaders, and alleged that the INDIA bloc is trying to undermine India's democracy through these foreign connections.
"The INDI alliance and the Congress are already under suspicion of colluding with foreign anti-national forces; there is already evidence of Rahul Gandhi meeting anti-national NGOs and anti-India leaders," Trivedi said.
The Rajya Sabha MP also challenged Rahul Gandhi's remarks on alleged fake voters in the Bangalore Central seat.
"He is talking about the Bangalore Central seat, if it is not the data of the Election Commission, then from where did he get the information about the 1 lakh (fake voters alleged by him)?" Trivedi asked.
Citing internal analysis, Rahul Gandhi had said the Congress expected to win 16 seats in Karnataka but ended up with only nine. He said the Congress investigated seven unexpected losses, zeroing in on Mahadevapura, where he alleged vote theft involving 1,00,250 votes.
"We found 100,250 votes stolen in five different ways. Duplicate voters, fake and invalid addresses, and bulk voters in a single address, in a building with 50-60 people living. But when we go there, there is no record of those people living there. One family living in that house," he said.
In retaliation to Rahul Gandhi's allegations, EC has asked Congress MP Rahul Gandhi to either give a declaration as per the rules or apologise to the country for his "false" allegations regarding the voter lists."
"Rahul Gandhi should either give a Declaration as per rules or apologise to the country for his false allegations," ECI said in an official statement. (ANI)
