Top officials of the paramilitary including the National Security Guards (NSG) and National Investigation Agency (NIA) called on Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah on Thursday and congratulated him on his next tenure.

New Delhi [India], June 13 (ANI): Top officials of the paramilitary including the National Security Guards (NSG) and National Investigation Agency (NIA) called on Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah on Thursday and congratulated him on his next tenure.
"Rajeev Kumar Sharma, Director General, BPR&D, called on Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah today and congratulated him on his next tenure," Office of the Home Minister of India posted on X.

Meanwhile, Dr Rajendra Kumar, Secretary, of Border Management, Ministry of Home Affairs met Amit Shah.
"Dr Rajendra Kumar, Secretary, Border Management, Ministry of Home Affairs, called on Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah today and extended best wishes on a reassuming charge," the Ministry posted on X.

Nina Singh, Director General, CISF, called on Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah and extended wishes.
"Nina Singh, Director General, CISF, called on Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah today and extended her best wishes on reassuming charge as the Union Home Minister," it added.

Director General, ITBP Rahul Rasgotra met Amit Shah and congratulated him on becoming the Home Minister for the second term.
"Rahul Rasgotra, Director General, ITBP, called on Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah and congratulated him on becoming the Home Minister for the second term," it stated.

Director General of CRPF Anish Dayal Singh called on Amit Shah and congratulated him on taking the oath as Union Home Minister for the second term.
"Anish Dayal Singh, Director General, CRPF, called on Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah today and congratulated him on taking the oath as Union Home Minister for the second term," the Ministry posted on X.

NSG Director General Nalin Prabhat met the Union Home Minister and wished him all the best for his next tenure.
"Nalin Prabhat, Director General, NSG, called on Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah today and wished him all the best for his next tenure," it stated.

Director General of NIA Sadanand Date met the Union Home Minister and congratulated him on his next tenure.
"Sadanand Date, Director General, NIA, called on Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah today and congratulated him on his next tenure," it posted on X.
On June 11, Amit Shah assumed charge as Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation.
The 59-year-old BJP leader a trusted confidante of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the party's key strategist served as the Union Home Minister in the previous Modi government.
Shah had won Gujarat's Gandhinagar seat by a huge margin of 7,44,716 votes. Shah gathered 10,10,972 votes beating Congress' Sonal Patel who got 2,66,256. In the 2023 Lok Sabha elections, he won Gujarat's Gandhinagar seat by a huge margin of 7,44,716 votes.
One of his significant achievements during his term as Union Home Minister in the previous Narendra Modi government was the abrogation of Article 370, which granted special status to Jammu and Kashmir and he played an important role in the passage of the Citizenship (Amendment) Act, which aimed to grant citizenship to persecuted minorities from neighbouring countries of Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh.
