Jalandhar (Punjab) [India], Nov 5 (ANI): Stepping up efforts against its war on drugs, the Punjab government has announced a campaign to organise village level sports tournaments across the state.

Rural Development and Panchayat Minister Tripat Rajinder Singh Bajwa said these tournaments will help the youth divert their energy towards a positive act as well as promote sportsmanship among them.

Bajwa informed that a dope test will be made mandatory to ensure fair play at these tournaments.

The minister was addressing a gathering at a sports tournament in Jalandhar, to mark the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev. (ANI)
