TN school has just one teacher, headmaster for 120 students

Coimbatore (Tamil Nadu) [India], Jan 20 (ANI): Parents of students at a government primary school in Coimbatore's Anupperpalayam area have alleged that there is only one teacher and one headmaster for 120 students.

"The facilities at the school are not up to the mark. There is only one teacher and one headmaster for all the 120 students of classes 1 to 5," said one concerned parent.

However, the school has claimed the "non-availability" of the teachers as the reason.

According to the parents, sometimes students play in the class room.

"This school doesn't even have a playground, while there is no one to provide meals to our children. The school also lacks clean toilets and despite several petitions given to the school, nothing has happened so far," said another parent.

The parents are also concerned about the safety of their children as there is no compound wall around the school.(ANI)
