TN CM announces compensation for family of deceased Coimbatore student

Chennai (Tamil Nadu) [India], Jul 13 (ANI): Tamil Nadu Chief Minister E. Palaniswami announced a compensation of Rs five lakh to the family of the second-year BBA student, who died after falling from the third floor of her college building.

Chennai (Tamil Nadu) [India], Jul 13 (ANI): Tamil Nadu Chief Minister E. Palaniswami announced a compensation of Rs five lakh to the family of the second-year BBA student, who died after falling from the third floor of her college building.
The deceased, identified as Lokeshwari, died after falling from the third floor of Kovai Kalaimagal College of Arts while performing during National disaster management training.
The Coimbatore Rural Police earlier in the day arrested a trainer of the National Disaster Management training in the matter.
The CCTV footage of the incident showed that the girl, who was sitting on a higher floor, was pushed by a man, after which she hit the sunshade on the first floor and sustained fatal injuries.
The deceased student was immediately rushed to AMP Hospital, Thondamuthur for first aid and later referred to CMCH, Coimbatore. However, she was declared dead upon arrival. (ANI)
