Rahul Gandhi's fan Dinesh Sharma

Sagar (Madhya Pradesh) [India], Nov 24 (ANI): As the election fever is gripping the nation ahead of state assembly elections and the upcoming 2019 Lok Sabha elections, an ardent fan of Congress president Rahul Gandhi followed him to Sagar barefoot and said that he would stop doing it the day Gandhi becomes the Prime Minister.
The man, identified as Dinesh Sharma, hails from a farmer's family in Kakrod village in Haryana. He has been following the Gandhi scion for the past seven years and attends every rally and road show.
Sharma, a law graduate, was seen wearing a specially designed Kurta and pyjama embossed with the Congress symbol holding the party flag in hand and donning a saffron turban during Gandhi's rally in the poll-bound Madhya Pradesh's Sagar district.
Speaking to ANI, Sharma said his only aim is to see Rahul become the Prime Minister.
"When I was a kid, I used to listen from my family members about the sacrifices the Congress leaders made for our country. Though I have never got an opportunity to work for the Congress party, I have vowed that I will work for Rahul Gandhi and will promote the policies by the Congress chief among the youth. I vowed to be barefoot until Rahul Gandhi does not assume the office of the Prime Minister of India," he said.
The Haryana-based youth has also appealed people of all five poll-bound states- Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, Mizoram, and Rajasthan- to vote for the Congress party. He asserted confidence over the Congress party winning the upcoming assembly elections. (ANI)
