Thick blanket of fog envelops parts of Delhi

A bomb threat mail, which was sent to the Meteorological Department Hyderabad on early Friday morning, claiming the implantation of 14 RDX Bombs at the Hyderabad IMD office, turned out to be a hoax.

The IMD staff immediately alerted the police, who swung into action. The employees were evacuated to a safe location, and the police, along with the bomb squad, conducted a thorough search of the premises, checking every room.

"Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs has done significant work in bringing transparency and visibility to the preparation of accounts through the city finance portal, where all the accounts of local bodies are being uploaded", said the CAG.

Most parts of India will continue to experience a surge in temperatures in the coming days of the week, with 4-6°C above normal over many parts of Northwest India and 2-4°C above normal over Central India.

According to temple authorities, the eclipse will commence at 3:21 PM and continue until 6:47 PM. As per established religious customs followed by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), the temple will be closed from 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM.
