New Delhi [India], August 20 (ANI): Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva stated on Thursday that seeing the "Kejriwal will come" hoardings put up by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), it has become evident that the party is anarchic.
He said that launching a promotional campaign for a person who is in jail and whose release depends on the court's discretion, is not only a contempt of court but also a mockery of democracy.
The Delhi BJP President further said that today, the people of Delhi are completely disillusioned with Arvind Kejriwal.
Earlier on May 12, Kejriwal for the first time, appealed to the people of Delhi to vote for the INDI alliance in the Lok Sabha elections so that he could avoid going to jail, coining the slogan "Vote for me to avoid my jail."
He had repeated this slogan everywhere, whether in Delhi, Punjab, Gujarat, or Haryana, wherever he contested elections. However, people rejected the Aam Aadmi Party everywhere.
In May, the people of Delhi rejected Arvind Kejriwal's appeal on 52 out of 70 seats, so it is beyond comprehension on how he has dared to put up "Kejriwal will come" hoardings now, Sachdeva said.
The failures of the Delhi government, such as inflated electricity bills, water crises, waterlogging & related deaths during the rainy season, lack of new ration cards and new social pensions, crumbling bus services, broken roads, ruined parks, and stalled government hospitals and schools, have led the people of Delhi to say "Kejriwal will go."
Earlier on Wednesday, Sachdeva criticised the AAP government over the waterlogging situation in Delhi following the rains and said that the people of Delhi are once again suffering due to the negligence of the Delhi government.
Notably, rainfall on Wednesday morning, caused waterlogging from Badarpur to ITO, from I.T.O. to Mundka, from Chhatarpur to Sangam Vihar, from Badarpur to Karkardooma, and from Vasant Kunj to Najafgarh.
Sachdeva further mentioned that an auto driver had narrowly escaped a fatal accident under the Minto Bridge, and a similar situation was seen at the Zakhira underpass. (ANI)
