The entire case was cooked up, claims A. Raja

New Delhi [India], Dec 21 (ANI): Hours after getting acquitted in the 2G spectrum allocation scam case, Former Telecom Minister A. Raja on Thursday claimed that the entire case was cooked up.

Speaking to media here, A Raja said, "The entire case is cooked up, having no basis, inconsistent with department files."

"That we will see later," said Raja when asked if he feels let down by Congress and UPA.

Earlier in the day, another accused in the 2G Specturm case, Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament (MP) and Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) leader Kanimozhi welcomed the court's judgement and said it was an answer to all the allegations made against her.

In a shocking verdict, the special Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court had acquitted all the accused, including former telecom minister A Raja and Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) MP Kanimozhi, involved in the scam.

Meanwhile, the CBI announced that it would challenge the verdict in the 2G spectrum allocation case as the court may have had not appreciated the evidence in its proper perspective. (ANI)
