Coimbatore (Tamil Nadu) [India], October 9 (ANI): Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin praised the economic growth of the southern state at the Tamil Nadu Global Startup Summit 2025, which was held on October 9th to 10th in Coimbatore.
During the event, Stalin remarked that the Global Startup Summit and similar industrial conferences are a testament not only to Tamil Nadu's industrial growth but also to the state's overall development.
The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister stated that these conferences demonstrate that Tamil Nadu is a state where industries can operate with complete peace of mind.
"The Global Startup Summit and similar industrial conferences have become a testament not just to Tamil Nadu's industrial growth, but to the overall development of the entire State! When industries grow, the entire State grows through them. Through the jobs they create, families grow and thrive; in that sense, industries stand as symbols of such progress. Industrialists always choose states that ensure peace and strong law and order. Conferences like this stand as a symbol of the confidence that Tamil Nadu is a place where industries can operate with complete peace of mind," said Stalin.
Furthermore, he also claimed that the southern state has attracted numerous industrial projects over the last four and a half years and is working towards a goal of a 1-trillion-dollar economy by 2030.
"In the four and a half years since we assumed office, Tamil Nadu has attracted countless industrial projects. We have attracted high-tech industries that draw significant investments, as well as industries that create a large number of employment opportunities. Through these efforts, our Government is diligently working towards achieving the goal of making Tamil Nadu a 1-trillion-dollar economy by the year 2030. It's not just large industries that play a role - MSMEs, too, contribute significantly. Likewise, emerging innovative startups are also playing a vital part in this growth journey..." added Stalin.
Earlier, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin inaugurated the Space and Defence Industries Exhibition in Chennai on Tuesday. During his address, MK Stalin said that Tamil Nadu is emerging as a leader in the manufacturing sector and emphasised the state's commitment to the growth of India's space sector.
"Tamil Nadu is emerging as a leader in the manufacturing sector. It is the only state to have achieved double-digit economic growth. The state is making its mark in all kinds of industries. Tamil Nadu will also be a strong support to the growth of India's space sector," MK Stalin said. (ANI)
