Jammu (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], July 27 (ANI): Amid a spate of terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) leader Indresh Kumar has said that Pakistan's internal conditions will lead to its downfall and expressed confidence that people of Jammu and Kashmir along with the Army and the government will teach a lesson to the western neighbour and anti-national elements supported by it.
The RSS leader told ANI that the situation in Jammu and Kashmir will improve and terrorism will be "eradicated."
"In the Kashmir Valley, their political defeat is becoming evident day by day. Those whom they nurtured and supported are losing their existence. However, I am confident that Pakistan's internal conditions will lead to its downfall and the people of Jammu and Kashmir, along with the army and the government, will teach Pakistan and such anti-nationals a lesson. Very soon, the situation will improve, and terrorism will be completely eradicated," Indresh Kumar said.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who visited Kargil on Friday on the Kargil Vijay Diwas, had referred to cross-border terrorism emanating from Pakistan and said the neighbouring country has not learnt anything from its past and has continued to wage war in the garb of terrorism and proxy wars to stay relevant.
He said nefarious intentions of Pakistan will never succeed.
"In Kargil, we not only won the war, we presented an incredible example of 'truth, restraint and strength", Prime Minister Modi remarked.
Referring to Pakistan's deceit when India was making efforts to maintain peace, he said "falsehood and terror were brought down to their knees by truth".
"Pakistan has not learnt anything from its past and has continued to wage war in the garb of terrorism and proxy wars to stay relevant. Our bravehearts will trample all the terror attempts. India will overcome all challenges that come in the way of development, be it Ladakh or Jammu and Kashmir," the Prime Minister said.
There has been a spike in terror attacks in the Jammu region in recent weeks. On Saturday, Indian Army troops foiled a Pakistani Border Action Team (BAT) attack along the Line of Control in Kupwara district. (ANI)
