Telengana: Lorry catches fire at petrol pump; no casualties reported

On Sunday morning, a lorry arrived at the Nayara petrol pump to refuel, which suddenly caught fire, causing panic among the surrounding people. The fire was intense and it was emitting black fumes throughout the area. However, due to the petrol station employees' prompt response, the fire flames were doused immediately with the help of 4-5 fire extinguishers, averting a major tragedy that could lead to the loss of lives.

Bhuvanagiri (Telengana) [India], May 20 (ANI): A massive fire erupted at the Nayara petrol pump in the Bhuvanagari district of Telengana, which was later controlled due to the mindfulness and swift actions of petrol pump employees.
No casualties have been reported in the incident.
On Sunday morning, a lorry arrived at the Nayara petrol pump to refuel, which suddenly caught fire, causing panic among the surrounding people. The fire was intense and it was emitting black fumes throughout the area.
However, due to the petrol station employees' prompt response, the fire flames were doused immediately with the help of 4-5 fire extinguishers, averting a major tragedy that could lead to the loss of lives.
Reportedly, the fire was caused by an explosion in the diesel tank.
According to the information received, the incident happened on Sunday morning at around 10 a.m. By the time the fire department received the information, the fire had already been put out.
Speaking to ANI, the Station Fire Officer of Bhuvanagiri Fire Station, Sai Kumar, confirmed, "The lorry arrived at the petrol pump for fueling and suddenly caught fire. The petrol pump employees and others present at the spot responded quickly and doused the fire with the help of 4-5 fire extinguishers. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported in the incident. By the time we received the information, the fire was already put off." (ANI)
