"Telangana's future deserves justice, not politics": Union Minister Bandi Sanjay slams Congress, BRS

Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], September 13 (ANI): Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Saturday lashed out at both the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and ruling Congress over what he described as their failures in handling the education sector in Telangana, accusing them of "betraying" the state's youth.
In a post on X, Kumar demanded that the Congress government immediately clear pending fee reimbursement dues, saying "Telangana's future deserves justice, not politics."
Bandi Sanjay Kumar said successive governments had failed to provide relief to students and educational institutions.
The Union Minister wrote," Both BRS & Congress have betrayed Telangana's youth. Colleges are shutting down because fee reimbursement dues remain unpaid. Students can't get certificates, staff go without salaries, institutions are collapsing - this is governance failure."
He alleged that neither Congress nor BRS were able to conduct Group-1 exams or clear arrears, leaving students to suffer.
"Congress hides behind excuses. BRS left a trail of failures. Neither could they conduct Group 1 exams, nor could they clear arrears. From frying pan to fire - students are the ones burning. Successive governments are creating roadblocks to both govt and private job opportunities," Kumar said.
Meanwhile, on Tuesday, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy requested Union Minister of Finance Nirmala Sitharaman to extend all kinds of support to the Telangana government to strengthen the education sector, as the government has already introduced revolutionary changes in education recently.
According to the Chief Minister's office, the Telangana CM briefed the Union Minister about the measures initiated to provide corporate-style education to the BC, SC, ST and minority sections, who constituted about 90 per cent in the state.
A state delegation led by CM Revanth Reddy met with the union minister at her office in North Block on Tuesday. During the meeting, the CM said that 105 Young India Integrated Residential Schools are being constructed in 105 Assembly Constituencies.
As per the CMO, he informed, "The construction work of the four schools has already started, and tenders for the remaining schools have been finalised. Each school will accommodate 2,560 students and 2.70 lakh students will get the opportunity to study in all schools in the state."
The Chief Minister also requested the Union Minister to allow restructuring of the loans, as the previous government had arbitrarily borrowed loans at high-interest rates, and repayment of loans had become a huge burden on the state government. The union minister responded positively to the CM's requests. (ANI)
