Telangana: Student threatens to commit suicide if killers of vet aren't hanged

Khammam (Telangana) [India], Dec 1 (ANI): A graduate student on Sunday threatened to commit suicide by jumping off a building demanding capital punishment for the accused, who raped and killed the woman veterinarian.

Khammam (Telangana) [India], Dec 1 (ANI): A graduate student on Sunday threatened to commit suicide by jumping off a building demanding capital punishment for the accused, who raped and killed the woman veterinarian.
The student has been identified as M Rohit.
According to police, Rohit climbed on a 3-storeyed building trying to attempt suicide demanding capital punishment to four accused who raped and killed the doctor.
After receiving the information Wyra police in Khammam immediately rushed to the spot and went to the terrace and spoke to him.
Wyra police rescued him and brought him down from the building and took him to the police station. The police counselled him and handed him over to his parents.
Rohit said: "The accused in doctor's murder case should be hanged till death or else I will commit suicide. I have taken a decision."
The burnt body of the veterinary doctor was found at Shadnagar outskirts in Telangana's Ranga Reddy district on Thursday.
As per the preliminary probe, the police suspect that the doctor was sexually assaulted before being charred to death.
The police on Friday arrested four accused persons involved in the alleged rape and murder case of the woman veterinary doctor.
According to police sources, the accused that were arrested by the police are a lorry driver and cleaners. (ANI)
