Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], August 7 (ANI): HCA Healthcare, a global healthcare service provider, is set to expand its presence in Telangana's Hyderabad with an enhanced Global Capability Center (GCC), the Chief Minister's Office (CMO) said in a release on Tuesday.
According to the release, this initiative marks a major step in HCA Healthcare's commitment to leveraging technology and innovation to enhance healthcare delivery, following the brief inauguration of its incubation facility in the city in March 2024.
Senior leaders from HCA Healthcare met with the Chief Minister of Telangana, A Revanth Reddy, and Telangana Minister for Industries and Commerce, D Sridhar Babu, on Tuesday to brief them on their massive plans in Hyderabad.
The discussions emphasised Hyderabad's strategic importance as a centre for healthcare innovation and the pivotal role HCA Healthcare aims to play in this vision.
Expressing appreciation for the business-friendly environment created by the government, the team requested the government's continued support.
"We are thrilled that HCA Healthcare is further expanding its operations in Hyderabad," Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy said.
"This decision reinforces Telangana's status as a leading destination for global enterprises. In addition to creating several new jobs, HCA Healthcare's investment will set new benchmarks in the healthcare sector and enhance Telangana's contribution to healthcare globally," he said.
The enhanced Hyderabad GCC will focus on attracting talent in artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), data science, and analytics. This center will serve as a crucial hub for HCA Healthcare's global operations, driving technological advancements and supporting the company's mission to provide high-quality healthcare.
Emily Duncan, Senior Vice President of HCA Healthcare's Global Capabilities Network, said, "We are excited to expand our presence in Hyderabad, a city that aligns with our vision for innovation and growth. The talent and infrastructure here provide an ideal foundation for our Global Capability Centre, HCA Healthcare India, which will be instrumental in advancing our technological capabilities and enhancing patient care across our network."
Sridhar Babu, Minister for Industries and Commerce, stated, "HCA Healthcare's decision to enhance their GCC in Hyderabad is a testament to our state's robust ecosystem and our efforts to create a conducive environment for global businesses. We are committed to supporting HCA Healthcare in their journey and I am confident that Hyderabad will continue to play a crucial role in improving lives around the world."
Nashville-based HCA Healthcare is a provider of healthcare services, comprising 188 hospitals and approximately 2,400 ambulatory sites of care, including surgery centres, freestanding ERs, urgent care centres, and physician clinics, in 20 states and the United Kingdom, as per the CMO release.
Founded in 1968, HCA Healthcare created a new model for hospital care in the United States, utilising combined resources to strengthen hospitals, deliver patient-focused care, and improve the practice of medicine, it added. (ANI)
