Telangana: Girl trafficked to Dubai, later to Oman, family seeks Sushma Swaraj's help

Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], November 10 (ANI): A girl from Hyderabad went missing after she was allegedly trafficked to Dubai and later to Oman on pretext of a job by an agent.

The family of the missing girl has now appealed to External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj to trace and bring her back to India.

The missing girl's sister told ANI, "She was kept in Dubai for three days. Then she was sent to Oman where she was again confined for three more days. We don't know where she is now. We are being sent from one police officer to the other, but nothing has happened yet. We appeal to EAM Sushma Swaraj to help her return to India."

Earlier in August, Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) chief Swati Malliwal had urged Sushma Swaraj to help bring back 45 Indian women trapped in Oman as domestic help.

The move came after the women sent a complaint to Navshristi, an NGO, which then forwarded the complaint to the Commission. (ANI)
