Telangana: DSP rank officer dies after gun misfires

In an untoward incident, a DSP rank, assistant commandant's weapon went off after he accidentally fell down, resulting in serious injuries to him and later he succumbed to the injuries in Bhadradri Kothagudem on Wednesday.

Bhadradri Kothagudem (Telangana) [India], April 24 (ANI): In an untoward incident, a DSP rank, assistant commandant's weapon went off after he accidentally fell down, resulting in serious injuries to him and later he succumbed to the injuries in Bhadradri Kothagudem on Wednesday.
According to Superintendent of Police (SP), Assistant Commandant Seshagiri Rao, DSP Rank, (45), while returning from Area Domination, fell down and the gun misfired.
SP, Bhadradri Kothagudem said, "Assistant commandant Seshagiri Rao, DSP rank aged 45 years, while returning from Area Domination, fell down and the gun misfired, it was an AK 47, went through the chest and he died due to injuries. The incident took place this morning around 11 am."
He further said that the case would be registered and the postmortem examination would be done. (ANI)
