The protests were held at the State Secretariat in Hyderabad. The protestors were later detained by the police.
Police informed on Tuesday (June 25) that a 13-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted and raped multiple times over a period by group of persons at Neredmet in Hyderabad.
The police had registered a case after the mother of the survivor filed a complaint at Kachiguda Police Station on Monday, June 24. Following this, police started a probe.
Sub-inspector of Kachiguda Police Station, Subhash, had said, "On June 24, the victim's mother made a complaint about five people.
