Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], July 12 (ANI): BJP on Sunday condemned the attack on party MP from Nizamabad and accused the TRS government of instigating its cadre to attack BJP leaders as they are unable to face criticism.
Telangana State BJP official spokesperson, NV Subhash said, "Unable to face the criticism, the TRS government was instigating its cadre to attack BJP leaders and the Sunday's attack on Nizamabad MP Arvind Dharmapuri was part of its conspiracy."
Subhash said it was a covert action to attack MP Arvind and demanded immediate arrest of TRS leaders who were behind the attack.
"TRS leaders are unleashing a reign of terror against BJP leaders fearing them as 'future threat'. BJP MLA Raja Sigh was attacked recently and State president Karimnagar MP Bandi Sanjay had been manhandled by police in November last year. The TRS leadership is on the strong opinion that BJP is the major threat in the state and is resorting to physical attacks on its leaders with fear of political threat," Subhash said.
He demanded that the TRS leaders must stop their barbaric acts of assaulting the BJP leaders and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao should order an enquiry into the incident and put the TRS leaders who are responsible for the attack on the MP behind the bars.
"TRS party is losing its shine in Telangana with its lopsided policies and the people, who are in distress with Corona pandemic, are left in the lurch. A silent revolution is underway against the TRS rule and vexed with its lethargy people are ready to revolt against the government," he said.
"A series of attacks on BJP leaders is any indication for fall of the image of KCR and people have realized that KCR is a leader of words, not a leader of masses as they felt," added Subhash.
The Bharatiya Janata Party appealed to its cadre to maintain restrain over the attacks by TRS goons and express deep anguish against Chief Minister KCR for prompting physical attacks instead of fighting democratically, he said.
Meanwhile, speaking to ANI, BJP leader Ramchander Rao said, "Nizamabad MP Dharmapuri Arvind, went to a party meeting in Warangal and held a conference with the media. When he was coming back from there, some people from TRS attacked him and BJP is seriously condemning this issue."
"This action by TRS is intolerant. Even in the past, our party member was frightened and was forcefully made to change the party. Today on the name of religion this attack by TRS took place and BJP is seriously condemning this," added Rao (ANI)
