Telangana: ACB arrests Chinthapally Veterinary Assistant Surgeon for accepting bribe

Nalgonda Unit of the Anti-Corruption Branch on Monday arrested 52-year-old Veterinary Assistant Surgeon Chinthapally, appointed at Nalgonda Unit at Veterinary Hospital, Chinthapally, over demanding and accepting a bribe, said officials.

Nalgonda (Telangana) [India], September 30 (ANI): Nalgonda Unit of the Anti-Corruption Branch on Monday arrested 52-year-old Veterinary Assistant Surgeon Chinthapally, appointed at Nalgonda Unit at Veterinary Hospital, Chinthapally, over demanding and accepting a bribe, said officials.
The medical professional accepted the bribe amounted to Rs 6,000 from the complainant for showing official favour, i.e., "to issue a health and valuation certificate for eight buffaloes belonging to the complainant and his cousin," according to the officials.
Arrested veterinary assistant surgeon has been produced before at a court in Hyderabad.
Further investigation into the matter is underway. More details are awaited. (ANI)
