Telangana: 3-year-old killed after MLA's car rams bike

Mulugu (Telangana) [India], May 18 (ANI): A three-year-old girl died after Mulugu MLA Sitakka's SUV rammed into a two-wheeler in Eturu Naagaaram on Saturday.
The accident took place at Pakkapur crossroad near Eturu Naagaaram town in Mulugu district.
Speaking to ANI, Eturu Naagaaram Sub Inspector Mohammad Arafat said, "Sravantika (girl who died) was travelling on a motorcycle with her mother and maternal uncle. At around 10 am, an Innova car that belongs to Sitakka hit the two-wheeler. In the accident, the three-year-old girl died on the spot. Her mother and maternal uncle have sustained minor injuries."
Arafat informed that when the girl died, Sitakka was not in the car. The driver was taking some of the MLA's followers to Mangampetta.
A case was filed under Sections 304A and 337 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). The police have seized the car. (ANI)
