Tejaswi Yadav attacks Nitish Kumar over Muzaffarpur shelter case

RJD leader Tejaswi Yadav (Right) speaking to media on Thursday in Patna.

Patna (Bihar) [India], Feb 14 (ANI): Tejaswi Yadav on Thursday alleged that it is the failure of the Bihar government that Muzaffarpur shelter home case was given to Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) by the Supreme Court.
Quoting the apex court’s observations, Tejaswi said: “According to the Supreme Court, there is a fearsome atmosphere in Bihar and the Muzaffarpur shelter home case is unfortunate, inhumane, and insensitive.”
More than 40 minor girls were allegedly sexually assaulted over a period of time in the shelter home which was run by state-funded NGO by Brajesh Thakur.
Taking a dig at Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s ‘All is well’ remark on law and order in the state, Tejaswi said: “He was teaching lessons on law and order. He has sidelined the way the Supreme Court has reprimanded him in the Muzaffarpur shelter case. He has fixed all responsibilities on CBI.”
"Our MLAs have brought work postponement to discuss Muzaffarpur shelter home case in assembly session today which is related to law and order of the state,” he added.
The RJD leader added that the proposal was not accepted in the Bihar Assembly today.
The RJD leader asked the state government to help the CBI in the case, release call records of Manju Verma and Brijesh Thakur, the investigation progress in Srijan scam, and the actions taken against those running shelter homes.
Tejaswi alleged that there is a rise in crimes in the state and asked CM Nitish Kumar to provide the data about crimes in Bihar and what actions have been taken to stop it. (ANI)
