Patna (Bihar) [India], September 4 (ANI): Bihar BJP spokesperson Sushma Sahu on Thursday slammed the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav over the alleged derogatory remarks made against Prime Minister Narendra Modi's late mother during the Voter Adhikar Yatra event in Darbhanga.
Speaking to ANI, Sahu said, "Are Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav's eyes closed regarding derogatory remarks used for PM Modi's late mother? Rahul is an expert in talking dirty outside the context. Tejashwi has ten women living in his house. How can he talk so dirty?"
She further said that Tejashwi is having fun making reels and has no regrets.
RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav was seen dancing in a viral reel video at Patna Marine Drive, which he shared on X. The video showed him dancing with Bihar youth after the end of the 16-day Voter Adhikaar Yatra.

Bihar BJP Mahila Morcha President Dharmshila Gupta also slammed both the Opposition leaders and said that abusing one's mother is not the culture of the BJP.

"What will Rahul Gandhi and Tejaswi Yadav say? They made their members abuse them, and they were enjoying it. If they had even a little knowledge of the mother, they would have scolded that worker immediately, but no, Darbhanga police arrested him. Rahul Gandhi will be drenched in tears for this act," she added.
She further stated that people in Bihar can tolerate everything except an insult to anyone's mother. "Today, the people of Bihar have rejected Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav. We will not tolerate the insult of Bihar!"
Earlier today, BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad strongly condemned the derogatory remarks made against Prime Minister Narendra Modi's late mother during the Voter Adhikar Yatra event in Darbhanga.
Speaking to ANI, the BJP MP condemned the act and called it very "shameful". "It is very shameful that PM Modi's late mother was abused and they have not apologised till now. I want to tell Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav that if someone from our party had used this kind of language, we would have taken strict action against him," Prasad said.
The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) observed a five-hour Bihar Bandh in protest of the remarks, with workers protesting in Patna.
The bandh was a show of solidarity with PM Modi and a strong message against the opposition's alleged disrespect. "Is this your culture? This is your shamelessness! ...We condemn this," he added.
While sitting in the protest, holding a banner, Prasad said that respecting one's mother is an Indian tradition that everyone observes.
"But a mother who went to heaven and came from poverty, educated her child who became the Prime Minister; abusing her is highly condemnable...Rahul Gandhi will say and do anything, Tejashwi also has the same attitude, the people of Bihar will answer this," he added.
The controversy comes ahead of the Bihar assembly elections, expected to be held in October or November. The elections are likely to be a crucial test for both the NDA and the Mahagathbandhan alliance, with each side vying for power and seeking to win over voters.
Moreover, Bihar BJP President Dilip Jaiswal also attended the protest and demanded an apology from Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav for allegedly abusing PM Modi and his mother.
"Some days ago, from the stage of the INDI alliance, PM Modi's late mother was abused. Today, NDA is observing a five-hour Bihar Bandh against the derogatory remarks against PM Modi's late mother. Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav should apologise to the nation," Jaiswal said to ANI.
Meanwhile, cadres of the BJP are staging protests in various parts of the state, including Gaya and Danapur. (ANI)
