TDP MPs protest in Parliament demanding special status for Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday

New Delhi [India], Feb 13 (ANI): Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MPs on Wednesday continued their protest against the Central government over the demand of special status to Andhra Pradesh.
TDP MPs were seen holding placards in Parliament premises which read: “We demand special status for Andhra Pradesh state".
Earlier, a delegation led by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, on Tuesday, submitted a memorandum to President Ram Nath Kovind over the demand for special status for his state.
Launching a scathing attack against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, TDP chief also held a day-long fast and addressed a public gathering at "Dharma Porata Deeksha" against the Modi-led central government on January 11.  
CM Naidu got the support of several leaders from opposition parties, including Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh, Congress president Rahul Gandhi, National Conference chief Farooq Abdullah and Loktantrik Janata Dal chief Sharad Yadav at the dharna site in Delhi's Andhra Pradesh Bhavan. (ANI)
