Guntur (Andhra Pradesh) [India], March 29 (ANI): Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu expressed gratitude to the supporters of the party and said that TDP has left an indelible mark in the hearts of the people.
In a teleconference with over 60,000 TDP leaders and activists on the 43rd party foundation day, the party supremo said, "The TDP has left an indelible mark in the hearts of the people. I bow my head before all the leaders and activists and salute those who have been sailing with the party for the past four decades."
He further said, "We have been marching forward not for power or posts but with the sole aim of taking the Telugu community ahead."
CM Naidu recalled that the party's founder, the late NT Rama Rao, had moved forward with the slogan of self-respect and said that the party supported all the backward classes by bringing in social reforms.
"We have provided opportunities by taking advantage of technology and also developed the State in all sectors. Despite being a regional party, the TDP played a very crucial role at the national level, which is a pride for the whole Telugu community," Chandrababu Naidu said.
"The reason why the TDP could stand firmly after facing several challenges, ups and downs during this 43-year-long journey is because of the sacrifices and struggles of party activists," the TDP supremo said.
Earlier in the day, Chandrababu Naidu hoisted the Telugu Desam Party's flag in Amaravati on Saturday as he participated in the 43rd foundation day celebrations of the TDP.
He marked the 43rd Formation Day of the Telugu Desam Party on Saturday with an emotionally charged message, honouring the party's founder NT Rama Rao and described TDP as a symbol of self-respect and development.
He paid rich tributes to the party's founder, legendary actor and former Chief Minister Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR), crediting his vision and divine blessings for the TDP's emergence as a political force.
Ending his message with a salute to the TDP flag and its followers, Naidu declared, "Jai Telugu Desam... Johar NTR!"
Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan also extended greetings to the people of the state on TDP's Formation Day.
In a post on X, he wrote, "Founded in 1982 as an alternative political platform and voice of the people in the united Andhra Pradesh state by Telugu Desam founders and former Chief Minister K. She Sri Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, the Telugu Desam Party is happy to complete its 42-year reign and enter its 43rd year. Since then, it has initiated many revolutionary changes and has emerged as a key force in national politics and stood by the people."
"On the occasion of its 43rd Foundation Day, I extend my greetings to the Telugu Desam Party National President Sri@ncbn, National Secretary Sri@NaraLokesh, State President Sri@Pallasrinivas4u, leaders and activists on the occasion of the 43rd Foundation Day, and I hope that in the future we will stand by the people with greater commitment," he posted.
