"TDP and YSRCP are not competing to serve the people": BCVY State President

BCVY Party State President Bode Ramachandra Yadav on Thursday launched a scathing attack on both the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP), accusing them of betraying the Backward Classes (BCs) and warning of a statewide agitation if their rights continue to be ignored.

East Godavari (Andhra Pradesh) [India], July 17 (ANI): BCVY Party State President Bode Ramachandra Yadav on Thursday launched a scathing attack on both the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP), accusing them of betraying the Backward Classes (BCs) and warning of a statewide agitation if their rights continue to be ignored.
Addressing a BC Atmiya Sammelan (community gathering) held at the CRC Club in Ravulapalem, organised under the leadership of Matta Veerababu Goud, Yadav alleged that the current government is prioritising corporate interests over public welfare. The event saw enthusiastic participation, with BC women welcoming Yadav with traditional dappu drum beats.
Yadav lambasted both the TDP and YSRCP, accusing them of competing not for the welfare of the people but only for looting the state.
He recalled Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu's election promises of wealth creation, peaceful governance, six key welfare schemes, and a corruption-free administration. However, Yadav claimed that after 13 months in power, none of these pledges have been fulfilled.
"The government's focus is not on farmers, unemployed youth, or the welfare of BCs, but rather on grabbing lands, awarding resources to select companies, and manipulating project contracts," he said.
Yadav also expressed serious concern over the increasing number of attacks on BC leaders and communities. "BCs are being targeted, and even murders of BC leaders are taking place. The government is completely ignoring the enforcement of the BC Protection Act," he said, directly questioning Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu.
Issuing a stern warning, Yadav gave the government a 30-day deadline to clearly announce its position on implementing the BC Protection Act. "If the government fails to respond within 30 days, we will launch a statewide BC movement--one that the entire state will remember," he declared.
He further announced that the BCVY Party is preparing to emerge as a strong alternative to both the TDP and YSRCP. A detailed action plan for this political alternative will be unveiled on the party's foundation day, July 23. (ANI)
