Ayodhya (Uttar Pradesh) [India], July 28 (ANI): Nripendra Mishra, Shri Ram Mandir Construction Committee Chairperson, on Sunday said that the target completion date for the temple's construction is December 31.
"We want that by December 31, the first floor, second floor, all the works of the temple, Lord Ram Darbar, all these should be completed... We were on the spot, then it was seen that the arrangements on the first floor should be made safe in such a way that if a child reaches there, there is no possibility of him falling. The target is to complete the construction of the temple by 31 December, and we are ready for that..." Mishra said.
The 'Pran Pratishtha' of Shri Ram Lalla at Ayodhya's historic temple was held on January 22, with PM Modi performing the Vedic rituals, led by a group of priests.
The ceremony was attended by representatives of all major spiritual and religious sects in the country. People from all walks of life, including representatives of various tribal communities, attended the ceremony.
The Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Mandir is constructed in traditional Nagara style. Its length (east-west) is 380 feet; width is 250 feet and height is 161 feet; and is supported by a total of 392 pillars and 44 doors.
The pillars and walls of the temple showcase intricately sculpted depictions of Hindu deities, Gods, and Goddesses. In the main sanctum sanctorum on the ground floor, the childhood form of Bhagwan Shri Ram (the idol of Shri Ramlalla) has been placed.
Lakhs of devotees have been flocking to Ayodhya since the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of Lord Ram Lalla. The number of daily visitors to the Hanumangarhi Ram Temple has also been increasing rapidly.
According to the Ministry of Tourism data, more than 1.5 crore people have visited the Ayodhya Ram temple since the consecration ceremony.
Meanwhile, External Affairs Minister, S Jaishankar, during his visit to Laos launched a special set of postage stamps with Laos' Deputy Prime Minister, Saleumxay Kommasith.
The stamps feature Lord Ram from Ayodhya and are the first in the world to show Shri Ram Lalla. (ANI)
